Idaho. Coeur d'Alene. Downtown. Ground gargoyles guard: A mouse, a moose, and an octopus stand motionless. Earthy entrance slopes. Cold lake laps leisurely against rocky shoreline. Wildflowers grow. Caterpillars crawl. Summer sun stalls in a blue sky then begins its descent upon waiting horizon line. Tubbs Hill.
