Lighting Ceremony [2022]
Rain pours. Temperatures plummets. Umbrellas unfold. Downtown Coeur d'Alene fills as visitors line Sherman Avenue and wait for the annual Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks. A parade takes form and flows down the street. Crowded City Park as unlit candles wait for flame upon naked wick. Silent Night escapes cold lips as a single flame begins to spread; white wick becomes black. Solitary rockets rips sky and bursts into a colorful display of fire and smoke. Christmas countdown begins.
